I have been meaning to fill everyone in on my t-shirt line since like 3 weeks ago but I haven't for a couple reasons:
1. I have been incredibly busy with moving/selling our flip house/hosting a moving sale.
2. If I'm being sincerely honest, I have been feeling a bit like a failure for not reaching my goal.
If you are totally new to this blog and have NO idea what I'm talking about you can get updated HERE; however, long story short...I teamed up with a company to start my own clothing line. The line was called "She Who Is Brave" and 20% of the profit was being donated to a non-profit organization, called Woman At Risk, that helps woman who have been rescued from sex trafficking.
My goal was to be able to send $1000 to this organization, which meant in order to do that, I needed to generate over $6,000 in sales.
However lofty the goal was, I was truly believing God to do some BIG things in this whole campaign; so when I fell short of my goal I was truly devastated; I was embarrassed, and humiliated. At the end of all this, I wanted SO badly to scream from the mountain tops that I was going to be able to send MORE than what I was hoping for to this organization.
So what were my end results???
ENOUGH WITH THE CHIT-CHAT TESSA!!! TELL US ALREADY!
So at the end of a 1 month period I profited ~$450; and 20% of $450 is about $90.
So here's what I decided because I STILL have a goal of $1,000 to send to Woman At Risk. So what I am going to do is....INSTEAD send ALL of the $450 in profit and THEN some! At my moving sale two weeks ago, I made about $700, so in addition to that $450 I will be sending my profit from my moving sale as well. Totaling $1,150 in donation. Which is seriously AMAZING!! God is good!
If you are interested in adding to my donation of $1K please personal message me (hello@tessakirby.com) so I can tell you how you can contribute.
In all...I am so SOOOOOO humbled and honored by everyone that supported me in this endeavor. It was such an amazing experience and I am beyond proud of how it all ended up. I'm not sure if I'll continue with the clothing line but only time will tell.
Again, thank you to everyone that supported me by buying shirts, coming to my moving sale, or just shouting an encouraging word here and there. I CANNOT tell you how much your support meant.
*If you are still interested in purchasing a t-shirt you can do so HERE!
I love you all! xoxo, Tessa
