First of all, I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who read, left an encouraging note, liked, or shared my blog post from last week. I cannot truly tell you all just how appreciative I am. I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and thankfulness for all of you that continue to stop by my little blog. This platform has been such an amazing space for me to be me without feeling judged or condemned and I thank you all for giving me the freedom to do that.
On a different note, since then my life has been in somewhat shambles and daily I'm trying to pick up the pieces with little to no luck (ok...that's probably motherhood on the daily but the Kirby family is seriously riding the struggle bus these days). Just to give you a little gist of just how much we're struggling...my oldest daughter Rozalyn started puking last Sunday night, which we contributed to dehydration and a large intake of lake water from our day at Grammy's lakehouse. Then when we finally thought we were in the clear...she got sick AGAIN two days later; waking us up to vomit hitting the hallway as we sheepishly scrambled to get any remains into the toilet.
When that was all over, we all had a great nights rest and continued our week as such when we were awoken on Saturday at 2:30 in the morning to the sound of my son Justus screaming in his room and can you guess...YEP throw up. All. Over. Clearly our lake water theory was WAY off and we were left shaking our heads in disbelief.
So then we spent the entirety of that night dealing with a 1 year old that has little to no regard to throwing up "neatly" (geesh....how dare him right?).
By Sunday, we finally felt like we had bounced back and all was well in land of the Kirby's. My mom even came down to visit from Michigan and brought us the best looking peaches! We all went out for a crazy but enjoyable dinner and can you guess what happened next? My husband started feeling sick!
All day Monday was spent just trying to survive and get through this bug or whatever it was. But we had no idea what was even coming for us. This morning, my son Justus woke up screaming hysterically and hot to the touch. There was nothing I could do to calm him down and his poor body wouldn't stop shaking. After holding him and rocking him for 3 hours straight I finally decided to take him to the doctor (if you know me you know I wait forever to go to the doctor because I hate it that much) and it was there that we found out he has STREP throat!!!!!
Oh you guys, I can't tell you how exhausted I am. I am tired, angry, frustrated, sad, did I mention tired? I have been proclaiming healing and restoration over this home and my family for a week straight and now I turn to YOU! If there is one thing the Lord has always taught me, it's that prayer is powerful in numbers. So will you please join with me in prayer over my family? I have nothing left to give and I need strength to get through this week. If you think of our little family would you please send up a quick prayer of agreement that there would be healing and restoration brought to our family?
I cannot tell you how much your support and encouragement mean to me! Thank you everyone!
And as always, thank you for stopping by!
