Happy Monday: What I Loved This Weekend
Happy Monday everyone!! While it's always difficult to mentally prepare yourself for Monday, I always love reflecting on the weekend and soaking in the moments that encompassed our time as a family. I will be honest, my "weekends" look different than most, since my husband is a realtor we don't often get a "work free weekend." Our weekend usually starts on Friday and ends on Sunday.
One of my favorite moments from this weekend was playing outside with my kids in the 60 degree weather. We ran around the backyard playing tag, and hiding certain objects around the yard for one of us to find. It was so fun to watch my oldest Rozalyn, try and teach her brother Justus how to close his eyes and count to ten while she went and hid her items around the yard! This is Rozalyn teaching him out to close his eyes and then this is him trying to do it himeself....he always peaked though!
Then I got to witness such a beautiful moment with my baby girl Eliza Joy. I heard her kind of wrestling around in her crib during naptime so I quietly snuck in to watch her as she sheepishly woke up. It was such a beautiful moment and I'm so glad I grabbed my camera to catch a few shots of her!
And of course, once the "bigs" heard her little squeaks coming from her bedroom they had to join in on the fun!
Sometimes it takes just remembering to cherish these moments and for me intentionally capturing them does that for me. Even though motherhood is hard and requires a lot of time, sacrifice, and effort...remembering to love the little moments can change your whole perspective!
Also, in case you missed it...
